In his words, Agba said "I got the news of the demise of the late Inikoro in my Abuja law school.

Agba, who spoke to newsmen on phone, said that "the late Godfrey Inikoro was one of the greatest philanthropist he had ever encountered from his childhood until Mr Inikoro's passage to glory in the early hours of Tuesday June 7th 2022.

Chief Inikoro as we fondly called him was a very kind and generous man. He opened his room for us in the early 80s to 90s, cook food and feeds children during Christmas and New years. Chief Godfrey would personally served us during festive periods. I watched snake girl, an India film as a kid in his parlour at Ogirisen Elume Town, Sapele LGA. His room was our play ground during Christmas and New year.

Chief Inikoro personally installed Electricity from Elume Junction to Deghele Elume, he constructed and connected pipe borne water from Ogirisen Elume to Deghele, across four Communities, constructed and tarred Otite road Sapele, built  two classroom block of four rooms and staff rooms each at Ogiedi Grammar school, Ogiedi Elume, Sapele in early 80s, with functional laboratory, gave Ogirisen Community five cows and bags of rice yearly. This continued unabated until his house was burnt down by a mysterious fire in 1996.

In continuation, he said "Inikoro also built Houses for family members and fed a handful of them, what a wonderful man. Mr Inikoro was my maternal uncle.

It should be noted that Mr Godfrey refused to accept Chieftaincy title during his lifetime but was the real Chief himself.

Rest in peace until we meet on the resurrection morning dear greatest philanthropist of all time, he said.

Good night but not goodbye dear father to the fatherless and CSO whose name trembled armed men.
