Okpe LGA: Ederaine Global Foundation donates computers, bags, books to Umiaghwa Primary School Pupils

The Ederaine Global Foundation, a non Governmental Organisation, has donated 3 laptops, a Solar Portable Inverter Generator, books and bags to pupils of the Umiaghwa Primary School, Umiaghwa in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State in a move aimed at helping to bridge educational inequity in the country.

The representative of the founder of Ederaine Foundation, Mr Ekpeme Temiagin said the donation will result in pupils improving their academic skills, while school teachers will also gain skills and knowledge in computer literacy and internet usage.
He said "Our goal is to close the digital divide by donating computers to this schools in the visibility as well as providing help to gifted but underprivileged children,”

"We are in the era of science and technology, and I understand how rural students are behind in terms of innovation and technology. These computers will change the lives of students and teachers at this school.” he emphasised

Mr David Akamakoze, chairman of Umiaghwa community, while thanking the foundation said that Mr Edward Ederaine has done so much for the Community "I would say he is very passionate about charity, helping the less priviledge, what he has been doing over the years deserve commendation, we want to thank him for always remembering us and God will bless him abundantly" he said.
One of the two teachers employed by the foundation, Mr Charles Ogagefo who said they have been teaching for two years used the opportunity to thank the foundation, adding that life would have been difficult if not for the foundation's intervention.

"The two years has been smooth for me and the other teacher employed by the foundation and I must thank Ederaine for his kindness and his prompt payment to us and his contribution towards education in this community'

Pupils who spoke, Blessing Okoh, a primary six pupil and Sunday Anajoke, a primary 4 pupil thanked the foundation for the generousity insisting the foundation has been of tremendous help to pupils of the school.

"God will continue to bless him for all he has done for us" Miss Okoh said.
