Good Samaritan Rescues Man Trapped in Flood For 3 Days


Rivers man who lives in Bayelsa named, Okereke Ofiafiam is been hailed as a hero for rescuing a man that was trapped for 3 days and almost dying due to the flood

Niger Delta Insider publicist, Dave of Africa, spoke to Okereke Ofiafiam on phone and he told us how it happened. According to him, it happened when he went to Ahoada (Okogbe) axis of East West Road on the order of his boss to check on their truck that had broken down due to the flood.
When he reach, he heard a faint voice of someone asking for help in the bush, when he inquired, the truck driver told him that the voice is from a man that has been trapped inside the bush for 3 days but because of the flood current, no one wanted to take the risk to rescue the man

Okereke Ofiafiam said "people were passing there in crowd but no one was doing anything to help. I asked the truck driver to show me the spot the man was and he showed me the location and when i looked i saw only his head.

"I told my colleague that came with me that if this man is still alive under this high flood current for 3 days and he his not dead, then i will do all i can to save this man"
Okereke said he went to Okogbe community to hire a canoe, used the canoe to rescue the trapped man

"When we got close to the man using the canoe, the trapped man told us to be careful that there was a big python around the spot, I carefully reached and saved the man, I thank God for everything."
