Honourable Perkins Umukoro, Member Representing Sapele Constituency, Chief Whip in the Delta State House of Assembly and stakeholder in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has congratulated Hon Bright Abeke on his impressive victory in the recently conducted chairmanship election in Sapele Local Government Area.
Abeke, who polled a total of 35,583 votes to defeat his closest rival of the All Progressive Congress Hon. Obomine Ekariko who polled 4,876, was declared the winner of the election by the Local Government Returning Officer Comrade Mathew Tennyson.
Umukoro, in a statement issued to newsmen, described Abeke's victory as a well-deserved win, citing his dedication, hard work, and grassroots mobilization as key factors that contributed to his success.
"Bright Abeke's victory is a testament to his commitment to the development of Sapele Local Government Area, "Umukoro said. "His ability to connect with the people and understand their needs has earned him their trust and support. I am delighted to see a deserving candidate emerge victorious."
Umukoro, expressed confidence in the newly elected chairman's ability to deliver on his campaign promises.
