Bright Abeke Marks 100 Days in Office With Groundbreaking Ceremony of Ultra Modern Motor Park, Empowers Men, Women with Cash Gifts

To mark his 100 days in office, Okakuro Bright Afure Abeke has embarked on the execution of a legacy project and empowerment of women and men with cash gift. 

The ceremonies were groundbreaking event of an ultra modern motor park and cash gift empowerment of women and men across the various wards in Sapele. 

The events were carried out at reclamation road and yoruba road on Monday October 28th, 2024 respectively.

The ceremony witness the presence of high profile dignitaries from all walks of life. 

Speaking during the ceremony, Chief Barr Kingsley Esiso narrated his past experiences about the Reclamation motor park, adding that during his university school days, the Reclamation motor park was a very busy environment until it started dying down gradually, while commending hon Chief Bright Abeke, the Sapele Local Government chairman for taking a bold step towards transforming Sapele Economic Landscape.

“Remember that your tenure has counted, three months is gone and people are watching, at the end of three years they will score you and I pray they score you favourably so that your political aspirations will continue to prosper. This park we and our children will enjoy it,” Esiso said.

In his address, the Chairman of Sapele Council, Hon Chief Bright Abeke expressed gratitude to God Almighty for granting him the grace and strength to serve the people of Sapele Local Government Area during the first 100 days, while thanking the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, for their unwavering and unifying support.

Hon Abeke also commended the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, for his MORE Agenda, describing his leadership style as a guiding light, shaping and enhancing the transformative achievements they have witnessed in these initial days, expressing his deepest appreciation to the good people of Sapele Local Government.

His words “As we reflect on the first 100 days, it is essential to acknowledge the collective efforts and dedication that have driven our progress. Together, we have embarked on a path of meaningful development, focusing on initiatives that enhance the quality of life for all residents.”

“Rome was not built in a day. While we appreciate and acknowledge what we have achieved thus far, we must also recognize that there is still much more to be done in our dear Sapele Local Government Area.”

Part of the ceremony was the commissioning of new tippers and payloader, empowering of over 100 petty traders across the wards, as each beneficiary was given the sum of 100,000 naira each to help grow their businesses.
