Reclamation Motor Park Project Takes Off, Esiso Performs Groundbreaking Ceremony


The Reclamation Ultra-Modern Motor Park project in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State has officially taken off with a groundbreaking ceremony performed by Olorogun Barr Kingsley Esiso, immediate past Chairman of the Delta State People's Democratic Party (PDP), who was accompanied by a retinue of dignitaries, including Honourable Perkins Umukoro, Member Representing Sapele Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Honourable Julius Egbedi, representing Sapele, Ethiope West, and Okpe Local Government Areas on the Board of Desopadec, and Honourable Benson Okorodudu, Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor.

Barr Esiso, in his remarks, recalled his fond memories of using the Reclamation Park during his school days at the University of Benin, expressing sadness over the park's current state, but praising the Chairman of Sapele Local Government Council, Hon Bright Abeke, for initiating the ultra-modern park project, which he described as a landmark initiative that would bring about businesses and connect Sapele to various transport routes in the country.

"I am very happy that Mr Chairman has decided to demolish the old park and build a new ultra-modern one that will bring about businesses and connect us to any transport route in this country," Barr Esiso said, commending Hon Abeke for starting the project, which he believed would be a legacy project to his administration's commitment to developing Sapele Local Government Area.

Hon Bright Abeke, in his address, thanked the people of Sapele for their unalloyed support for his administration, expressing gratitude to Barr Kingsley Esiso for honouring the event, and highlighting the significance of the project, which would not only connect Sapele to various transport routes in the country but also provide economic opportunities for the people.

As part of the ceremony, 200 women from across Sapele's wards received ₦50,000 each to boost their businesses, a gesture that was seen as a demonstration of Hon Abeke's commitment to empowering women and promoting economic development in local government area.

Other dignitaries present at the ceremony included Hon Mrs Dora Aweto, Vice Chairman of Sapele LGA, Rt Hon Azu Samuel, Leader of the Sapele Legislative Arm, and Hon Francis Okpigben, Sapele PDP Chairman.

The Reclamation Ultra-Modern Motor Park project is expected to bring economic growth and development to Sapele Local Government Area, creating jobs and opportunities for the people.
